Marg Scott's Delta, B.C.

In May of 1967, my husband's new position with an airline at Vancouver Airport brought us to B.C. where we made our new home in Tsawwassen (Delta) and raised our 4 children. In 1979, I composed a song about Delta and would like to submit the lyrics of the song as my entry. The sentiments still hold true today. "Delta, land of the sun That's Delta, where livin' is fun You'll find it's the best place to be That's Delta, B.C. Delta hosts a great fishing fleet Where ocean and river both meet There are sun-kissed shores by the sea That's Delta, B.C. It's a land of aboriginal Canadian lore Still wrapped in mystery Pioneers along the Pacific shore This place of history In Delta, great gardens grow It boasts its own floral show We know it's a great place to be D-E-L-T-A ...Delta, B.C.
